Twisted Tuesdays at Red Lion Pub

Every Tuesday, this small pub on Howell Branch Road in Winter Park becomes a performer's paradise. With free food and no cover charge, go inside to enjoy the live music. This week's performance was by Wayside Orange, a band so new, that this was their first appearance as a complete band. Formed by John David Williams (vocals, various instruments), Matt Harris (lead guitar, backing vocals), Nathan Baker (bass) and Matthew Wassum (percussion), Wayside Orange provides a music style influenced by R&B and jazz. Greats such as Otis Redding, the Beach Boys and Simon & Garfunkel could all be heard in the instrumentation of their songs. However, there was very little interaction with the audience and, upon packing up all their equipment, quickly disappeared from sight and could not be reached for comment.
Outside in the parking lot, it takes a moment to decide where to look. Jugglers, fire spinners, and hula hoops have taken over the area. Sit and admire or stand up and join them, it's up to you. Everyone is welcome.
